"Very Impressed with Current Electric!"

We were one of the victims of CZU Lightening Complex Fire in Santa Cruz County in Aug 2020 and our house was burned down. One of the first tasks was to restore temporary power to our property. We hired Current Electric and it was one of the best decisions we did in recovery process. Jared and his team handled permit process, dealt with the County, installed power pole and electric panel and worked with PG&E to connect power. We were the first property the whole area to get power back. My neighbors stayed without power for months and were coming to our property to charge their cell phones... Great job. Very reliable company. Strongly recommended.

Jared and his crew do excellent work. They Installed 2 Infratech SL-30 patio heaters on my freestanding redwood arbor. Work included new circuits, wiring under house, installation of outdoor conduit and a new outdoor GFCI outlet. The crew was efficient, polite, and professional. Recommend highly.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Jared was amazing to work with. He responded to my call for a bid promptly and came out to see our situation that afternoon. We needed to run a 50amp circuit to our kitchen for the installation of a new induction range. His bid was very competitive and he took the time to evaluate our panel and sub panel to make sure adding this electrical load would not tax our "ampicity." He scheduled us right away and his crew showed up on time. They were extremely careful and personable and of course were masked and considerate about distancing in our home. Not only was the work done to install the new circuit, but because we needed some patching work, rather than our having to start a search for a competent, reasonable dry wall person, he arranged all of it for us and that work was completed within the next 2 days. If we'd had to have taken the time to find and interview dry wallers, it easily would have stretched on for many days, if not weeks. His commitment to quality work as well as "beyond the call of duty" service coupled with a very good price is why we'd give him 10 stars if we could!

The owner Jared came out within a couple days of calling and did a few tests to figure out what the problem was. He was very knowledgeable and had his awesome crew come out later that day to fix the issue. I would highly recommend Current Electric.

We have lived in Palo Alto for thirty six years and have searched from time to time for an electrician who was reliable, readily available and who could do first-class quality work on small jobs. Finally our search is over. Current Electric will be our choice from now on. I first called them to do some work in my furniture workshop in San Carlos. Jared Carlson, the owner, answered my call within the day, gave me a reasonable estimate for the work I needed and his assistant, Greg, came out promptly and did the work. Greg's knowledge and the quality of his work were excellent. Later, Jared and Greg did some work for a colleague and friend nearby and I was impressed by their advice, sometimes, not to choose the most expensive solution to the problem at hand. As a result of these experiences, we engaged Current Electric to do some more extensive modifications of the electrical system of our home. There, they had to work in harmony with a landscape contractor who had his own ideas of how the wiring should be done. Again, I was struck by Jared's and Greg's wide knowledge of different solutions, and their understanding of when the expensive option would be worth the price and when it wouldn't. The work is now done and the precise workmanship that seems to be their standard is apparent throughout the project. The total cost is very reasonable and right in line with the estimates I was given. In short, I would recommend Current Electric to anyone who wants top quality electrical work done promptly and at appropriate cost.

"5 STAR Work"

Monday nite, not sure what happened, I was pulling out a lamp for the outlet and I triggered some spark and it burned my outlet (see photo #1)
The circuit breaker kicked in and I was able to get my other outlet to continue (to get the fridge going)

Found Current Electric (recommended by Andrew). I tried my luck at 8pm Monday night and I texted Jared. The owner texted me back within 5 mins and he squeezed an appt for me on TUESDAY.

Tuesday, Greg stopped by and replaced the outlet for me. He explained to me in details what happened and what needed to be replaced.

He finished everything in 45 mins. Thank you! 5 STARS work!

I now have a good contact for all my electrical work. Thanks Jared and Greg!!!

Couldn't be happier with Current Electric and electrician Jared. From start to finish he was so easy to work with, explained everything in detail, was patient with all our questions, did the work beautifully and on schedule. We initially hired him to put in an electric charging station and offhand we mentioned an issue with our oven. He very rightly was concerned and made sure we knew the issue and what needed to be done for our safety. He completed that job on top of the main job with great professionalism. He also kindly followed up with us to make sure all was ok and working well. I can't say enough about him and would absolutely hire him again for any future electrical issues.

Happy customer here! Had a yucky plumbing problem that had an unexpected electrical component. Got a referral to Greg at Current, and I see why. Everyone was busy that day, but Greg and Jared somehow made it happen. The electrical problem was fixed that day, which made it possible for the plumber to continue. Besides being professional and helpful, Greg went above and beyond to be sure things were taken care of before he left. I am grateful they were responsive in the first place, pushed to take care of the problem, and I can't give a higher recommendation.

I was in difficult situation after my house in Boulder Creek burned down during CZU Lightening Complex Fire in August 2020. I could not find contractors available since everyone was booked for months ahead, but I desperately needed temp electric power on site to move forward with cleanup, debris removal, etc. Current Electric team quickly responded to my request, understood project and offered good solution. They also took care of all permits and inspections with Santa Cruz County. Jared (owner) came over for site survey, provided quotes, went to County to get permits, etc. Current Electric understood situation and gave my project high priority. I had my temp power within couple weeks since I contacted Jared. All inspections were passed from the first inspector visit. No changes/corrections were required. Everything was done according to Code and County requirements. Good job! Big "Thank you" to Jared, Greg, Pablo.
